I was commissioned to write this album at the end of April of this year. Each track tells a story in the life of a family of shepherds whose roots lay in the beautiful Border country of Scotland in the 19 th century. Circumstances led this redoubtable family to be scattered all over the world. However John Boa who figures in the album settled at Longard part of the Benula Estate. John’s great granddaughter who commissioned this album belongs to Kyle of Lochalsh and has strong family connections to Braes and Kyleakin in Skye. I am very proud of this album as I consider it to be my best to date. Enjoy. Garry
